These terms and conditions constitute an agreement with you and MercatorGear.com. By using this website and making purchases from us you agree to these terms and conditions.
MercatorGear.com may change these terms at any time. Please review these terms often to ensure you are aware of any changes made by us. If you do not agree to all the following terms you should not use this site. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.

Complaints
If you have a complaint please email us at info@mercatorgear.com or write to us at MercatorGear.com, PO Box 466, Teddington, TW11 1BX Any complaints will be taken seriously and investigated immediately. We will contact you by email with our response within 24 hours.
Liability
Gas and liquid fuelled stoves are safe when used in accordance with operating instruction. Accidents generally only happen as a result of user not following correct procedures. It is the customer’s responsibility read operating instructions before use, to use gas and liquid fuelled stoves and adapters safely and to fully accept all risks of failing to follow normal operating procedures and any damages, injury or death which may result from such activities. If in doubt do not take risks with your stove. Seek advice from an experienced user, from the pages of MercatorGear.com or by contacting us directly. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you confirm that you have read all operating instructions included with the item as well as safety advice on the relevant product page of our website before using your product. MercatorGear.com does not seek to limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury arising from their negligence.

Pricing
All prices are set in pounds sterling and can be seen in pound sterling euros or US dollars. Prices include UK VAT at 20% unless stated otherwise. All prices are subject to change without prior notice.
Payment methods
We accept payments through our payment partner PayPal. Payment can be from the following cards: Visa Credit and Debit, MasterCard and Maestro. We do not debit your card until the goods are despatched.
Security
When you are ready to purchase your goods you will be transferred to our payment pages where you will be asked to enter your payment details. Credit card information is transferred by secure 128 bit SSL encryption via PayPal. If your card is registered with your bank for advanced fraud checking features such as Verified by Visa, MasterCard SecureCode and Address Verification Service (AVS) you will be asked to provide additional security details. You can confirm the secure connection by checking that the web address (URL) starts with ‘https://’.
Confirmation of order
When an order or payment has been accepted you will receive confirmation by email. Contracts will be concluded in English language.
Cancellation policy
You have a statutory right to cancel your order within 7 working days of receiving your order. You must provide MercatorGear.com with written notice of cancellation in a durable medium and you must return at your own cost all goods in the state in which they were received by you. It is not possible to provide a refund on stoves which have been used as the heat from the flame irreversibly burnishes the metal components. If we have already processed your payment we will refund you in full within 30 days of cancellation.
Delivery
Our aim is to despatch goods the same day if the order is received before 1.00 pm (Monday to Friday) and item is in stock. Order received after 1.00pm will be dispatched the following working day. These timescales cannot be guaranteed due to variations in restocking and product availability from the manufacturer. If you wish to make any amendments to your original order before dispatch, please do so in writing. Please contact us if you do not receive your order within the expected timescale, but please allow for weekends, bank holidays and any disruption to postal services due to bad weather or industrial action.
Delivery: Rest of the world
Deliveries to countries outside the EEC will have UK sales tax deducted, but may incur local customs duty and sales tax on delivery. The buyer is responsible for all such local charges.
Return of Goods Policy/Refunds
Goods should be returned within 7 days of receipt unless agreed with us in writing. We will give a full refund if the goods are; faulty, incorrectly described, not fit for purpose, or if the wrong item has been despatched.
If you ordered the wrong goods we will accept these back for replacement or refund. In this case the customer is liable for return postage charges.
All returned items must be unused and in their original packaging, we cannot accept goods back that we cannot sell as new, and they must be accompanied by the original delivery note. In all cases we will only process a refund once we receive the goods. Please ensure that you make adequate provision for the safe return of the goods.
We can only accept claims for returned items that are lost en route if we receive proof of posting/signed for delivery. Please note, we can only refund the card used in the original sale. It is entirely up to the customer’s card issuing bank to decide how much time it takes to effect a credit.
Proof of purchase from MercatorGear.com is required as products brought through a second party, e.g. on-line retailers, outdoor shops etc may not be covered.
